We are deeply saddened to share that on April 9th, our county lost a valued and beloved member of our 4-H family, Kendall Reuwer. For more than six years, Kendall was a dedicated and inspiring participant in the Pony Express 4-H Club, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her involvement in the program was remarkable in both its breadth and depth. From speed shows and fairs to public speaking, drill team, horse bowl, hippology, and horse judging, Kendall embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute. Her passion and commitment even carried her to the national stage, where she proudly represented our state in Louisville, Kentucky.
Kendall’s leadership within the club was equally extraordinary. Serving first as Vice-President and later as President, she consistently demonstrated integrity, responsibility, and a willingness to serve others. She led not only with words, but through her actions—always stepping up when needed, encouraging her peers, and setting a positive example for younger members. Her efforts were recognized through numerous achievements, including awards for leadership, perfect attendance, and unwavering commitment to her club.
Beyond her accomplishments, Kendall will be remembered most for the person she was. She was a dependable teammate, a kind and thoughtful friend, and a steady source of encouragement and positivity. Her presence brought people together, and her impact extended far beyond the arena or meeting room.
Kendall will be deeply missed by all who knew her. During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Reuwer family. We encourage everyone to keep her loved ones in their hearts, while also supporting one another with compassion and care.
