Hannah Takemori Suicide, Mercer Island Washington, Death, Obituary: A Sacristan At Blessed Sacrament And A Teacher At St. Monica’s On Mercer Island Died By Suicide

We warmly invite all members of our community to join us in a Prayer Vigil for our beloved Frassati member, Hannah Takemori, who passed away last week. This gathering is an opportunity for us to come together in faith, remembrance, and support as we honor a life marked by quiet service, deep kindness, and unwavering care for others.

Hannah was a cherished and active member of the ministry whose presence enriched the lives of many. She served faithfully as a sacristan at Blessed Sacrament, approaching her responsibilities with reverence, humility, and dedication. Her commitment to the liturgical life of the Church reflected her deep faith and her desire to serve God through even the smallest acts of service.

In addition to her ministry work, Hannah was also a devoted teacher at St. Monica’s on Mercer Island, where she shared her compassion, patience, and wisdom with her students. She was known for her thoughtful nature and her ability to make others feel seen, valued, and encouraged. Her kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues, students, and friends alike.

Hannah will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. We are profoundly grateful for the time we shared with her and for the light she brought into our community through both her words and actions.

The Prayer Vigil will be held at the UW Newman Center at 7:00 PM on Saturday, April 18th. All are welcome to attend as we gather in prayer, reflection, and solidarity. Together, we will lift Hannah and her family up in love and remembrance.

During this difficult time, we encourage anyone in need of support to reach out to Fr. Marcin or Fr. Nathaniel. May we continue to hold Hannah’s family in our prayers, and may her soul rest in God’s eternal peace.
